Hey that's really one interesting concept! Got lots potential too. Could think maybe after getting x amount of a unit type you gain extra abilities or units have 2 lifes or smth. Very smart interpretation of the theme!
I do think it could benefit from some progressive pacing. Taking on such a massive army at once is overwhelming and could feel a little tedious even once the player understands the game.
Little victories of beating smaller army levels first could build the players engagement over time.
I also enjoyed all the little sprites and their animations. Great job!
This absolutely rules. I think you have come across a really fun and innovative idea, using a time loop mechanic that makes your frog army complement one another to slice through an unstoppable horde of enemies. I like the classes and how they all need to work together to progress. The experience of building your army into a similarly enormous horde is a lot of fun. As constructive feedback, I think most players will realise taking a linear approach works far better than moving around. Perhaps some unassailable obstacles might force players to be more responsive about how they approach their strategy? Cool game!
Thank you! My plan was to use the Ninjas, the last enemy on the kings gates, to force the player to diverge their army to kill each ninja, but I found in play testing I was having more fun with the linear approach and didn't like starting over for a diverging path personally and preferred that it be possible to complete the game (mostly) linearly. At least for the prototype. If the game catches momentum I'd love to experiment with other levels, maybe puzzles that require interacting with certain buttons on diverging paths to open the real path forward or something. Forcing a wide army over a linear one. I appreciate your feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Amazing concept, I'd love to see more work done on it!
Thank you! I've released an update if you want to check it out.
Clever idea! Solid execution too.

Thanks for your feedback! I've added a tutorial level that introduces the enemies one at a time.
